Description : The bronze statue of Captain James Cook is a replica of John Tweed's sculpture on the cliffs of West Whitby, Yorkshire, England.

Date unveiled : 1914

Location : On the foreshore on  Beaconsfield Parade,  St Kilda Beach, St Kilda, Victoria, Australia.

Background : The statue was erected in honour of Captain Cook who discovered the East Coast of Australia.
