Public Art: Fairy of Hakodate (Summer) statue
Also Known As : Summer Fairy of Hakodate.
Sculptor: © Kaori Uta
Description: Bronze statue a bare footed summer
fairy, holding on tight to her hat. I'm not too sure but I suspect that the scarf around her neck is often replaced
because she seems to appear in an assortment of them. The statue stands on a marble plinth between
benches.
Date unveiled: The summer fairy was unveiled in
1999 as part of the Hakodate public art project.
