Description : The bronze equestrain statue portrays
Zhukov in full uniform standing high on his stirrups on his trusty stead, his right hand stretched out
as if to settle his men. Underfoot is the carnage of crushed Nazi eagles ,a reminder that Zhukov captured
Berlin and lead the Soviet occupation force in Germany after the war.
Trivia : In 1975 a minor planet, 2132 Zhukov,
was discovered by a Soviet astronomer Lyudmila Chernykh, and was named in his honor.
In 1987 Klykov installed a statue of Sergius of Radonezh in Radonezh, it was the first memorial
installed in the Soviet Union without permission from the authorities.
