Description: The sculpture, which is made of copper, brass and iron, depicts a ship. This representing Singapore's growth from a humble fishing village to a thriving metropolis. The deliberate patches on the sculpture honor, the people and events that have helped shape the ship and steered Singapore to its present day.

Commissioned : Singapore MRT Corporation commissioned the work for the Raffles Place MRT station.

Date unveiled: 1988
