Public Art in Great Yarmouth

Great Yarmouth, often known as Yarmouth, is a coastal town at the mouth of the River Yare in Norfolk. For centuries the coastal town was a major fishing port mainly for herring. The discovery of oil in the North Sea in the 1960s led to a flourishing oil rig supply industry. Yarmouth was used as a key location in Charles Dickens' novel David Copperfield . He stayed at the Royal Hotel on Marine parade while writing the book.
