Public Art in Townsville

Townsville is a city on the north-eastern coast of Queensland, near the Great Barrier Reef. In recent years the council have invested in numerous pieces of public art. The most significant of the public artworks projects is the Jezzine Barracks Redevelopment Project, in which 33 specially commissioned public artworks have been created by 13 Aboriginal and 11 non-Aboriginal artists from Townsville, North Queensland and Queensland.
