Public Art in Hakodate

Hakodate is a port city located in Hokkaido, Japan. Hakodate was one of the first ports in Japan to open up to foreign trade after the Kanagwa Treaty of 1854. So don't be surprise as you wander around the city that you to come across a few Russian Orthodox or Roman Catholic churches in your travels, Hakodate has more Western building than anywhere else in Japan.
