Description: The bluestone, white marble, bronze and stainless steel Time and Tide comprises of three individual sculptures representing a tree, a flame and a shell. The tree symbolises growth, knowledge and the land, the flame- rebirth and the shell - the ocean. the massive structures towers 20m over the site. Embedded in each concrete base are fibre optics which emit different lights at different times of the day. 

Funded By : This sculpture was funded by the City of Melbourne thanks to its Percent For Art Program .
