Public Art In Bowral
Bowral is a quaint town located in New South Wales Southern Highlands famous for its tulip festival and being the birthplace of the World’s Greatest cricket player, Sir Donald Bradman. But what you may not know is Bowral had another famous person living right next door to Bradman.
Helen Lyndon Goff (aka P.L.Travers) the author of Mary Poppins spent her formative years from eight to seventeen in Holly Street, Bowral. A statue of her most famous character, Mary Poppins,was erected in Glebe Park next to the statue of Sir Don Bradman in 2013.
