Public Art in The Netherlands

The Netherlands is a country in North West Europe which is often referred to as Holland. Famous for cheese, windmills, and dikes much of the country’s land area has been gained through land reclamation through an elaborate system of polders and dikes. During the 17th century, the now prosperous Dutch republic nurtured many famous painters and this became known as the age of the “Dutch Masters”
