Public Art in Germany

Germany is a country in central-western Europe. Like many European countries, Germany’s public art reflects its historic past. Many of Germany’s public art is associated with politics, wars and patriotic themes. Berlin especially features grand statues and monuments including the Quadriga adorning the Brandenburg Gate and the Golden Else.

More sombre pieces of public art include the memorials dedicated to the Jewish community.
