Description: The Our Common Condition sculpture features a 3m woman sitting on a wooden bench with her hands reaching out to a Dachshund dog that is begging on its hind legs. Our common condition food, friendship, and being loved. The sculpture is made from steel, fibreglass, wood, and concrete.

Location: Our Common Condition sculpture is located in John Tonkin Park, East Fremantle, Western Australia.

Our Common Condition sculptureBackground to Our Common Condition: The sculpture, by Russell Sheridan, originally appeared in the “Sculpture at Bathers” exhibition in March 2013 at Bathers Beach in Fremantle.

The piece was later purchased by the East Fremantle Shire and erected in the park, much to the surprise of the regulars who frequent the park and Zephyr’s Cafe.
