Public Art of Moscow
Moscow is the capital city of Russia and an architectural, cultural and historical delight. Following the fall of the Soviet Union on the 25th of December, 1991 a lot of political and historical public artworks were either destroyed or removed. In fact, there were many abandoned plinths scattered throughout the city. Fast forward several decades and the face of public art has drastically changed. The “Soviet” style statues have been replaced with quirky sculptures and street art.
