Background: The Turtle Bench was commissioned by the City of Inverness (Parks Department) in honor of the cooter turtles who frolic in the lake. Each year Inverness have a Cooter Festival in honor of these amphibians. It took T.J. Neil three months to complete the unique piece of public art.
