Public Art In Salem

The first thing that usually pops into your mind when you think of Salem is the witch hunts trials of 1692. Seems nothing could cause more fear in a Puritan community than people appearing to be possessed by demons. Today Salem, also known as Witch City, relies heavily on “witch-related tourism”. One of the city’s most favorite son’s is Nathaniel Hawthorne, the author of The Scarlet Letter.
