Tirau is a little town set in the South Waikato region on the North Island of New Zealand, near Hamilton. Primary a farming town it boasts the most amazing corrugated iron sculptures in all of New Zealand and is known as the “Corrugated Iron Capital of New Zealand”. Many of the local artists make their living out of discarded sheets of corrugated iron.
