Description: 10m high steel statue of Prometheus holding two bolts of lightning above his head. The statue is one of the most iconic constructions built during the Communist era.

Location: The Electricity Monument is located on the right bank on the Mount Pleasa at the hydroelectric Vidraru lake in Arges, Romania

Trivia: The original statue was made from gypsum.

The sculptor chose Prometheus as his muse because in Greek mythology he gave fire to man just like the Vidraru lake gives electricity to the people.
