Public Art In Bern

The city of Bern lies on the banks of the Aare river in Switzerland. Bern’s medieval city center is World Heritage listed. It has one of the longest covered shopping promenades in Europe, over 6kms worth. The bear is the symbol of Bern and Since the 16th century, the city has had a Bärengraben (bear pit). Currently, no bears reside in the pit. Albert once lived in an apartment at the Kramgasse 49 from 1903-1905.
